Mysterious Shards in Pokémon BDSP, how to get

Once you've completed the main story, Pokémon League, and acquired the National Dex in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl, you can hunt Legendaries in the all-new Ramanas Park. This location was made specifically for Sinnoh remakes, and it has the potential to appear in dozens of legendary Pokemon.

However, to spawn Legendaries, players must acquire Discovery Plates.
These plaques can be placed in the rooms of the various Legendaries to make them appear. Players can purchase Discovery Plates at the entrance to Ramanas Park, but they will need Mystery Shards to do so.

Players can find out how to acquire Mysterious Shards in Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl below.

Currently, the only way to acquire Mysterious Fragments is to mine them in the Great Underground. It doesn't matter where you mine them, so you can be outside of Ramanas Park or in Eterna City.

You can find the locations to mine by looking at your map in the Great Underground and finding the little golden spots through the walls. Press A on the wall where the golden blip is located and you will have the possibility to exploit it.

Once you're presented with the mining screen, you want to be on the lookout for shiny light pink shards with a yellow circle in the middle of them. Mystery Fragments can be found in sizes S (small) and L (large). The smaller ones only take up four spaces on the mining screen while the larger ones take up double that.

If you manage to find three Mysterious Shards S, you can exchange them for a Discovery Plate. If you find a Mysterious Shard L, you can also exchange it for a Discovery Plate. The larger ones are harder to find, but both varieties are rare when mining.

There is currently no way to maximize the rate at which you can acquire Mysterious Fragments. You just have to hope for luck and not collapse the wall before you find a shard while mining in the Great Underground.
