Developers Niantic have teased the next season with a short teaser video, logo, and mystery message, leaving fans guessing what can we expect in the new season in terms of content, new creatures, features, and gameplay. other updates.
Still, while nothing has been officially revealed yet, we can make an educated guess about new content and events, based on past seasons, some previous announcements, and details hidden in the aforementioned teaser.
So, without further ado, let's see what can we expect in The Season of Heritage
When will the Heritage Season begin? Confirmed start date and time
Although we don't know much about the new season, the good news is that we don't have to wait long to find out because the new season is releasing this week.
Heritage season is will begin on Wednesday, December 1 at 10 a.m. local time, and will most likely run until Tuesday, March 1 at 10 a.m. local time.
A new season of GO Battle League (Season 10) will also start at the same time.
New Pokémon GO Season of Heritage content and events
While we don't have any concrete details on the new season at this time, we can safely say that Heritage Season will be somehow related to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a new Pokémon game that will be released on January 28, 2022 on Nintendo Switch.
“We will look to the past for answers that will help guide us into the future of Pokémon GO,” is a message shared by the Pokémon GO team, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a prequel game “set in a bygone era of the Sinnoh region's history when it was known as the Hisui region. »
It's safe to assume that there will be Legends: Arceus cross-promotional events, content, and items, likely even before the game's release in late January.
Other than that, we can expect to see new content and live quality changes similar to what we've seen in previous seasons, including egg pool changes, new and Returning Legendary Pokemon in five-star raids and mega pokemon in mega raids.
Previous seasons have also introduced the concept of different Pokémon appearing in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere of the world (in the real world, our Earth), so this will likely return in Heritage Season.
Finally, the Tour: Johto event is something that will most likely return in January as well, just like we had one in January 2021.
And that's about all we currently know about Pokémon GO's Heritage Season, but we'll keep you posted on new details as they emerge.
