Genshin Impact update 2.3 has given a lot to talk about over the past few days, as players continue to tackle the challenges it brought and await the arrival of Gorou and Arataki Itto in Inazuma.

However, that's not the only thing that has been the focus of the community's attention, as we've had some big reveals about everything that's coming to the game, as part of the RPG's 2.4 update. miHoYo.

We've already reviewed the upcoming new characters and weapons, as well as most of the events we'll be enjoying in this cycle, so now is the time to find out all about a new region debuting in Teyvat.

Everything we know about Enkanomiya

The appearance of the Enkanomiya Archipelago has been rumored for a long time, however, until now there have not been so many indications of what we will find in this mysterious place.

Enkanomiya holds great significance in the lore of the game, being the place from which the people of Watatsumi Island emerged, who have continued to practice the traditions of this place through generations.

As such, the Enkanomiya region will not be part of the main Teyvat map, but will instead have its own section on the game map, much like the update's Golden Apple Archipelago. 1.6.

The main difference in this region will come from the fact that it will not be temporarily available, but will now be accessible to all players, since the missions that will be added to it will have a permanent effect on the island of Watatsumi.

To access Enkanomiya, you must complete the world quest "The Moon-Bathed Deep", which will allow you to discover and break a series of seals spread throughout the island of Watatsumi, in order to obtain a special key forged from of Watatsumi's Omikami blood.

All the enemies you will find in Enkanomiya

With the appearance of Enkanomiya on the map, new enemies will also arrive to threaten the peace within Genshin Impact, with the debut of three new enemy classes, which we will discuss below:

Abyss Reader: Unfathomable Flames

First of all, we have to start with one of the biggest and most dangerous that we will see in this update, the Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames.

This is a monster of the Order of the Abyss that sings the heat of dark flames, thanks to the power of its marvelous Pyro attacks, which apply the mark of the Abyssal Flame when inflicting DMG on characters.

These marks will explode after a short time, causing the entire party to lose large amounts of HP, however, the appropriate elemental reactions can be used to neutralize the Burning status.

The Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flame will have a similarity to the Pyro Whooperflower, as it will enter a state where it will be defended by an abyssal fire shield once you attack it for enough time. You can destroy his shield by attacking his Darkfire Furnace.

New Elemental Specters

Now let's talk about Ghosts. As we learned in Update 2.1, these enemies are usually found on Seirai Island and Watatsumi Island, being floating lifeforms born from highly concentrated elements.

While we've seen Specters with Anemo, Geo, and Hydro affinities before, Update 2.4 will introduce three more Specter types to the game, namely Cryo, Electro, and Pyro.

As with the other Specters, these will also have their own unique effects, but each of them will build Fury when they take a single serious hit. When they reach maximum Fury, they expand, grow bigger and stronger, and then explode violently when defeated.

Introducing the Bathysmal Vishaps

These intimidating dragon lookalikes will appear exclusively in Enkanomiya, living beneath the ocean abyss. Besides, some of them also developed different elemental forms, due to the division of labor in society.

There are three types of Bathysmal Vishaps you will find in your journey:

  • Vishaps bathysmal primordial (Hydro)
  • Rimebiter Bathysmal Vishaps (Cryo)
  • Bolteater Bathysmal Vishaps (Electro)

Despite their different affinities, they will all have a singular effect that makes them difficult to deal with, since every time you attack them, he will use his powerful Cleansing Shower.

All of your characters hit by this attack will lose a certain amount of elemental energy per second, and if they don't have enough elemental energy, they will start to lose HP.

Their arrival will be accompanied by a limited-time event, with which you will get valuable rewards if you manage to defeat them all.

Harlequin, the Harbinger Fatues are gone

Last but not least, there have also been rumors 473ur of the revelation of the last missing Eleven Fatui Harbingers, being none other than Arlecchino.

So far, not much is known about Arlecchino's role within the Fatui, his main weapon, his affinity, or even his real name, however, it seems that everything this power figure enters the Fatui will make their first reveal in the next big update for Genshin, following some of the events that happened in Inazuma.

And that's all we have to share with you about Enkanomiya, its mysteries and some of the threats you'll find in this new region to add to the game.

Genshin Impact update 2.4 is scheduled to release on January 5, 2022.
