What are dandelion seeds in Genshin Impact?

Dandelion seeds are a local specialty that is quite difficult to farm due to their spawn rate in the game. According to the lore, “A little seed that rises on the wind. Even without his feathered wings, he still holds hope deep within.”

Dandelions are exclusive to the Mondstadt region, with the exception of a vendor in Inazuma who sells these seeds. Additionally, it has crafting and ascension uses that can be beneficial for players who have specific characters on their roster.

Where to find dandelion seeds in Genshin Impact?

Travelers should be happy knowing that they won't have to travel far or wide in search of dandelion seeds. The seeds, as well as the flowers, can be found growing wild all over Mondstadt, however, there are a few places that have high concentrations of dandelion seeds and flowers.

Once harvested, seeds and dandelion flowers take three actual days to reappear in the breeding area. Additionally, the NPC Vendor, Karpillia, sells Dandelion Seeds for which she can be found at the Sailing Breeze Shop on Ritou Island, Inazuma. You can purchase up to five servings of Dandelion Seeds for 60 Mora each every three days.


You can use Teyvat's official interactive map to find the exact dandelion seed locations in the Mondtstadt area. There is a place known for its high concentration of dandelion seeds which is located near the gates of Mondstadt.

You can also find a cliff located southwest of a lake near Dawn Winery that has a good concentration of Dandelion Seeds. It will take a while to get to this area, but you can easily get up to 10 Dandelion Seeds here.


To grow dandelion seeds from the flower, you need to hit the plant with an Anemo attack to make the flower dislodge the seeds before you grow them. So it's best to have Anemo characters in your party like Sayu, Venti, and Kazuha.

How to use dandelion seeds in Genshin Impact?

At the time of writing, there are only three known uses for Dandelion Seeds in Genshin Impact. These seeds can be used when crafting Anemoculus Resonance Stone or potions like Springing Essential Oil and Windbreak Potion.


It is also widely known that Jean and Eula use dandelion seeds for their respective climbs. Players who rolled over Eula's Character Event Wish Banner and were lucky enough to obtain it should farm as many Dandelion Seeds as needed to evolve the character.
