If for some reason you want to completely reset your Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, there is a way to do it. Maybe you don't like the first island's dweller, or maybe you got the wrong island when choosing which island you wanted to start on. If you really don't like it and want to start over, you can follow the steps below to do so.
There's no way to do this from within the game, so we'll have to venture into the Nintendo Switch menus. Go to the home screen and then select system settings. From there, navigate to the Data Management option and then select Delete Save Data. Go to Animal Crossing: New Horizons and select it. All game save data will be gone and you will have to start over, including creating a new character and selecting a new island.
You can do this as many times as you want, but hopefully it won't take you that long to be happy with how your new island life is going.
