How to get your two-star island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

How to get your two-star island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons you don't just try to make your island look good because it's fun. Well, that's fun, but you can also improve your island's star rating if you level it up the right way.

To achieve a two-star rating, you will need to have at least 8 residents come to live on your island. It can take a while and involves a lot of resource gathering, building new things on the island, and crafting items.

To get more dwellers to come and live on your island, you'll need to work your way through a few milestones in the game. The good news is that you start the game with two other dwellers and can expand from there.

To go from the original two residents to five, you'll first need to unlock the museum and Nook's Cranny. As soon as Nook's Cranny is built, Nook will start his morning address by answering his phone with new residents who seem to want to join your island.

When you go to see Nook in Resident Services, he'll explain how more people want to come to the island and send you for a task. First, you will need to create a bridge. As soon as you place the bridge, you can visit Tom Nook again, and he will give you three new plots of land.

You can place all three plots, which will allow three new residents to join you in the future. You will need to complete some tasks and get resources first to entice residents to join, so complete them as soon as possible. These will all be different for each player and specific to your island. The new DIY recipes you will need will be learned automatically.

After taking in up to five residents, you can improve resident services by naturally playing the game, talking regularly with Tom Nook, and then you can buy new land from Nook for 10000 Bells each. This will then allow you to get the extra residents you need for a two-star rating.
