Animal Crossing: New Horizons is filled with fish and bugs to catch. They all have their own set of rules for spawning. From time of day to month and even location, tracking them all down can be a bit of a pain.

The Whale Shark can be sold for 13 Bells, so it's worth catching.

To find the whale shark in the Northern Hemisphere, you will need to search for fish spawning grounds in the sea, from December to March in the Southern Hemisphere and from June to September in the Northern Hemisphere.
