You can acquire a variety of gold items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. These are nice items to have in your collection, but you can also acquire golden flowers. Receiving them works a little differently than adding a gold item to your toolbox.
To acquire a golden flower, you must first make a black flower of this species. For example, if you have roses, you should place two red roses next to each other with space between them. If you water these flowers, over time a black rose will appear between them. Black roses then need to be dried, so do your best to forget about watering them and let nature do its thing.
After they dry out, you need to give them water using a golden watering can. We believe the Golden Water Bottle is provided to you when you need to maintain a Perfect City for 15 days and then talk to Isabelle. After watering the dried black roses with the golden box, the golden flowers should come soon after. For other flowers, the process may vary as the different color combinations also change for each type of flower in Animal Crossing.
