How to play FF14 for free?

If you want to discover Final Fantasy XIV, it is possible to play for free. Follow the steps below to take advantage of the free trial:

  • Visit the official site of the free trial of FF14
  • Click on " Free try »
  • Create your Square Enix account, or log in
  • You will find in your emails a link to the game installer download
  • Open the link, then click "Download the game" on the new page
  • All you have to do is install FF14, then sign in with your Square Enix account to play for free up to level 60!

However, this free trial has some limitations! You can't play only up to level 60, and will not be able to create only 8 playable characters maximum, with only one character per World. You cannot accumulate than 300 gil (the in-game currency), and will not be able to purchase certain in-game items.



To unlock all the features of the game and exceed level 60, you will have to buy the game, and pay a subscription!
