With the imminent debut of Caldera, Warzone's first new main map since the free-to-play battle royale released in March 2020, players will be able to hold on to certain goods once they exit the Gulag.
Warzone players will keep their Gulag weapons
Once Warzone Pacific arrives on December 8 for Vanguard owners and December 9 for everyone else, the Gulag we know and love will become less punishing.
In Activision's latest developer update for Warzone Pacific, they confirmed that players will be able to keep the weapons and gear they used to win their Gulag fight with
"Those who survived Iron Trials '84, the mode in which this feature was first tested, may be familiar with a pro strategy involving loadout conservation: all leftover ammo and gear is transferred between the Gulag and redeployment. have more available to you in Caldera,” Activision adds.
This should definitely help soften the blow of being sent to the Gulag when you're deep in a match, fully equipped with a perfect loadout, and all safe loot points will be completely ravaged.
It might not be ideal, but at least it's better than relying on good old fists for an impossible win.
