As part of Pokémon GO's 5th anniversary celebration, Niantic has shared various artwork alluding to the debut of many creatures in the game, like Dialga and Palkia from the Sinnoh region, as part of its Ultra Unlocks campaign and mischief by Hoopa. of Pokemon GO Fest 2021.
However, the company behind this iconic mobile game has surprised fans around the world by announcing that Pokemon from a different region will be coming to the game earlier.
We're talking about Galar, the region introduced in Generation Eight with the final mainline series games, Pokémon Sword & Shield, and the last of all regions in the Pokémon universe to make an appearance in Pokémon GO.
Several creatures that appeared for the first time in Galar will soon be available in the game. The group that will appear in the game consists of Skwovet, Greedent, Wooloo, Dubwool, Falinks, those lucky players having the chance to find the shiny versions of the Galarian forms of Meowth, Farfetch'd, Weezing and Stunfisk.

August 20-26:

The following Pokémon will also hatch from 7 km Eggs: Galarian Meowth, Galarian Ponyta, Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Farfetch'd, Galarian Zigzagoon, Galarian Darumaka, and Galarian Stunfisk.
Additionally, there will be event-exclusive field research and temporary research tasks that offer rewards, such as guaranteed encounters with Galar creatures. Galar Region uniforms for the Avatar will be available in the in-game store starting August 19, along with 473Tights which can also be found by spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops or Gyms.
And if that wasn't enough, Niantic has announced that Sword & Shield's legendary flagship Pokemon, Zacian and Zamazenta, will also be coming to the game in their crowned forms. Both will be available during Raid Time on August 25 (Zacian) and August 30 (Zamazenta) from 18-19 PM local time.
Likewise, Hoopa was supposed to finally make her in-game debut, but apparently now isn't the time. Despite this, this creature will be responsible for bringing the Pokémon of Galar to the mobile title thanks to its rings, so the arrival of this Mythical Pokémon is still very close.
The first Galar region event will be available during Ultra Unlock Part 3, from August 20 at 10am to August 31 at 20pm local time.
