Following the success of Pokemon UNITE on Nintendo Switch, The Pokemon Company and TiMi Studios continued their momentum with the recent launch of the MOBA title for mobile devices. Eagerly anticipating the many big battles (and losses) to come, some trainers may feel regret or rush to create a username to begin their journey.
There is a way for trainers to fix this inconvenience, as the developers have created a feature for players to change their username to something more befitting of a Pokemon trainer. Follow our guide on how to change your username for Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms.
How to change your username in Pokemon UNITE for mobile
If you are like me and are starting your journey on mobile, changing the username can be done with great ease. Trainers will explore the Shopping page, as the option to change your username will first need to be purchased as an item before this can be achieved.

Once the game has started on your mobile device, select the Home Menu option and choose the Shops icon (the icon looks like a shopping cart) which can be seen on the right side of the menu.

On the purchase page, find the Emporium Aeos and hit the Enter button. Here, look for it Articles tab and find the Rename map Object. Remember that changing your username will cost you 100 gemmes Aeos or about $2.

Once you purchase the Rename Card, players can enter their preferred username.
After selecting your chosen username, you can re-enter the battlegrounds and celebrate your victories with your new username.
How to Change Your Username in Pokemon UNITE for Nintendo Switch
Switch players, don't worry. You too can change your username as the method is similar if not exactly the same as for mobile devices. The only difference is that the Shops tab is at the bottom for the Switch, while the mobile version has theirs on the right side.

Coaches should be aware that the Rename Card cannot be earned as a reward or for free, instead players will refer to in-game currency to make similar purchases. Once you've used the Rename Card, trainers will have to wait three days to repeat the process if they're still not happy with their choice.
