PewDiePie criticizes Fortnite for ruining everything he loves

Famous internet icon PewDiePie, otherwise known as the "undisputed king of YouTube", recently frowned upon Fortnite's collaboration with the anime series Naruto Shippuden, a crossover he says "should never be done". This latest crossover follows a series of partnerships, including the recent addition of El Chapulín Colorado, Superman and Carnage.

While the vast majority of previous crossover events have been positively received by fans, the latest Fortnite x Naruto collaboration has not. Instead, the internet has spawned hundreds of hilarious memes highlighting the absurdity of having characters from the Naruto and Halo series in the same universe.

Naturally, this prompted PewDiePie to share his thoughts on the collaboration, which echoed what many fans were already saying.

In a YouTube video, titled “Fortnite Stole My Kids And Left,” uploaded Nov. 22, PewDiePie criticized the collab, saying, “Fortnite ruins everything I love. I do not have anything. They took Superman, Master Chief, and they came for my boy Naruto. »

From PewDiePie's tone of voice, we could tell he was joking; However, we can't help feeling that Epic Games has struck a chord with the famous YouTube star. "I don't feel good at all, I hate it," PewDiePie said.

The YouTuber went on to explain why he hated the crossover and used Master Chief from the Halo game series to illustrate his point. “I loved Halo when I was a kid. Who didn't like it? We all liked it. But at least he had a gun, right? »

PewDiePie then cut a clip of Naruto shooting an enemy with an assault rifle, hinting at the disconnect between the two franchises. “Some crosses should never be done,” PewDiePie added.

Later in the video, PewDiePie said, "There's a lot of pent up anger here for me because it's been going on for a while. Sure, I loved Naruto as a kid, but that doesn't matter now. »

He then highlighted another example of a mismatched crossover, namely with the Fortnite x Balenciaga collaboration.

Commenting on the collab, PewDiePie said he appreciated Epic Game's attempt to 'release some fashion', however he admitted he wasn't unsure of their intention to charge £550 for a hoodie plain white with a Fortnite and Balenciaga logo printed on it.
