How to find the Splash Plate in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl

How to find the Splash Plate in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling PearlAs with any other Pokémon game, Water types are among the most abundant in the Sinnoh region. Pokémon Sparkle Diamond and Sparkle Pearl have a number of solid Water Pokémon players can use in their games, starting with the starter Piplup and ending with the Legendary Pokémon Palkia. There is also a free Manaphy that players can acquire if they play before February 22, 2022.

With so many water types in the game, players will want items to increase their power in battle. The Splash Plate is one of several plates from Sinnoh Remakes that players can use to do just that. Before they can give it to any of their Pokémon, however, players need to know where they can find it in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl.

The only requirement you need to research the Splash Plate is to be able to use the HM for surfing outside of combat. This comes after you defeat Hearthome City Gym Leader Fantina and travel to Celestic Town. Here, the town elder will hand you the HM for Surf.

You don't even have to teach it to any of your Pokémon, because HMs are 473 usable in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl. Once you've surfed, you need to go to Sandgem Town and immediately head to the town's south beach.

After the beach, there will be water for you to surf on. Press A on water and you will ride a Bibarel to surf on water. Go south on the water until you find two female swimmers moving back and forth through the water. Walk past them until you find an island with two beaches. One of these beaches will have a Poké Ball sitting on it, which contains the Splash Plate.

Giving this item to a Pokemon improves its Water-type moves by 50%. That's a ton of extra power, especially if the Pokemon holding the item is a Water-type itself.
