How to Evolve Feebas into Milotic in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl

Of all the Pokémon in the entire franchise, Feebas might just be the hardest to catch. While Pokemon like Munchlax from the original Diamond and Pearl games are incredibly rare, Feebas has always been a near impossible encounter year after year. The same is true with Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl, as Feebas takes an awful lot of time to catch.

However, that's not even the only problem with Feebas. Once players catch it, they face another difficult task of trying to evolve it into Milotic, which doesn't happen through leveling up or stone. Instead, Feebas has two methods of evolution, both of which take boring time. Below, players can see these two ways to evolve Feebas.

The first Feebas evolution method is the simplest. That doesn't mean it's easy, though, as you'll have to go digging through the Great Underground. To evolve Feebas, he must be holding a Prism Scale. This item can only be found in the basement by digging in shiny spots on the walls.

The Prism Scale is a rare encounter while digging, so it can take you hours to find it. If you don't want to take this path, which relies solely on luck, you can take the longer but safer path to evolve Feebas. This is done by maximizing her beauty stat.

To see a Pokemon's beauty stat, you can go to its summary and keep scrolling through the tabs until you see a shape with the stats like beauty, coolness, etc. To evolve Feebas into Milotic, the Beauty stat must be maxed.

In order to maximize this stat, you need to feed the Feebas Dry Poffins. Poffins can be created by Pokémon Sparkle Diamond and Sparkle Pearl players to increase friendship and maximize stats like beauty. Beauty poffins consist of blue, dry-tasting berries, which you can discover in the world of Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl.

Once you have fed Feebas enough of these poffins, he will automatically evolve into Milotic. Either way, it's a challenge, so it depends on whether you want to get lucky with the prism scale or take the time to make poffins.
