How to Catch Ralts in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl

How to Catch Ralts in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling PearlRalts was originally introduced in Generation III along with Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. At the time, Ralts was among the strongest Psychic Pokémon in the entire franchise, evolving into the now famous Gardevoir. However, with Pokémon Platinum, Game Freak increased the mon's popularity by giving it a third secondary evolution in Gallade.

In the new Pokémon Sparkle Diamond and Sparkle Pearl, players can catch Ralts and evolve it into both Gardevoir and Gallade. The pair are among the strongest Psychic types in Sinnoh and players would have the chance to add either Pokemon to their party. However, to do so, they will first need to find Ralts somewhere in the world.

The first step you will need to take is to reach Eterna City, the home of the second gym boss, Gardenia.

Once here, you don't need to tackle the gym immediately. Instead, you can go to the house next door to the Pokemon Center and talk to the underground man. After some discussion, he will give you the Explorer's Kit, which allows you to access the Great Underground.

Only here can you find Ralts in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl. In the Great Underground you will have to keep looking for caves until you find one of the following:

  • Starlight Cavern
  • dazzling cave
  • Fountain Footprint Cave

Any of these three caves has the ability to spawn Ralts. There is a 20-30% chance that Ralts will spawn when you enter one of the caves. If not, you can simply exit the cave and then return immediately to re-spawn. Keep repeating this process until you see a Ralts wandering around the area.

Fight the Ralts and catch him to add him to your party. From there, you can evolve it into Kirlia at level 20 and then into Gardevoir at level 30. To evolve it into Gallade, you'll need a Dawnstone. A Ralts can only evolve into a Gallade if it is male, so you may need to keep catching Ralts until you find the right species.

That's all there is to catching Ralts in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl.
