Both of these Pokémon are available in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl, but can't be found until much later in the game. Additionally, Gliscor has a tricky evolution that players won't be able to figure out without a proper guide.
Before they can think of Gliscor, however, players need to know how to catch Gligar in Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl.
Catch Gligar in Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl
The only condition you need to encounter Gligar in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl is to reach Eterna City. Once here, you can enter the house to the right of the Pokemon Center to get the Explorer's Kit from the Underground Man. This allows you to enter the Grand Underground and discover a completely different section of the Pokédex.
With Gligar in particular, however, you must have a copy of Sparkling Diamond. Sparkling Pearl players will need to trade with a Sparkling Diamond player to acquire Gligar. If you have Sparkling Diamond, you can travel to the Great Underground and go to one of the following caves to encounter the Pokemon:
- rock cave
- spacious cave
- swamp cave
- sunny cave
- Big Bluff Cavern
- Bogsunk Cavern
Once you encounter Gligar in one of these caves, you can catch him and add him to your team. However, to turn it into Gliscor, you'll have to wait until after the game. You can find the Razor Fang item in the post-game, which you need to give to Gligar. Then you need to level up Gligar once while holding the item to turn it into Gliscor.
That's all you need to know to catch Gligar in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl.
