How to Catch Bellsprout in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling PearlThere's a fair amount of Grass-type Pokémon to add to a party in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl. From Roserade to starter Turtwig, players won't have much trouble finding a Pokémon to take on Cynthia's Gastrodon and Milotic in the Pokémon League. However, if players wish to wait until after the game, they can capture one of the franchise's original grass types.

Bellsprout is one of the original 151 Pokémon and can be caught in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl. However, players will have to wait a while before they can capture it. Below, players can see exactly what they need to do to add Bellsprout to their party.

To get started, you'll need to have beaten the Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl main story and acquired the National Dex. The National Dex can be acquired through Professor Rowan after seeing all 150 Pokemon in the Regional Sinnoh Dex.

Once you have the National Dex, you can catch Bellsprout in the Grand Underground. You can enter one of the following caves to find the small root Pokemon.

  • swamp cave

  • sunny cave

  • Cavern of Calm Waters

  • shore cave

  • Prairie Grotto

  • Bogsunk Cave

You can also visit routes 224, 229 and 230 to catch a Bellsprout in the tall grass.



If you want to speed up Bellsprout's leveling process, you can also catch her evolved form Weepinbell in all of these locations. Once you have a Weepinbell, you can use a Leaf Stone to turn it into a Victribell.
