Genshin Impact's 2.1 update "Floating World Under the Moonlight" will bring a ton of new features to the game with the addition of Watatsumi and Seirai islands, as well as a new fishing system, more powerful bosses, and most importantly, four new characters.

While we've already covered all about Inazuma's Supreme Ruler, the Raiden Shogun, as the featured character in the 'Reign of Serenity' banner available from September 1-22, there's another big arrival in this new update. updated directly from another world.

That said, it's time to introduce you to Genshin Impact's very first crossover character, who is none other than Aloy from "Horizon Zero Dawn."

Aloy – History and origins

Aloy grew up in a mountain wilderness near the tribe that shunned her, encouraged by an expert hunter. Here she trained to hunt with cat-like grace and deadly precision, but the things she never learned from her master, and most wanted to face, were the circumstances of her birth.

?? »

Aloy wanted to know more about her parents, what happened to her before she was an outcast, and why she was cast out of the tribe, but in her search for answers she was drawn into a larger world and more dangerous than she could ever imagine, encountering strange and powerful tribes, mysterious ancient ruins and many dangerous enemies

Eventually, she learned that her origins and destiny were deeply intertwined with the fate of the world itself, as she had to fight an epic battle to save it from the evil forces of artificial intelligence, from the ancient past.

Now that she has arrived in a new world full of never-before-seen challenges, Aloy will happily take up the hunt again with her sharp arrows and bow, as she tries to uncover the secrets of Teyvat and support all who have need her helping hand.

Aloy – Talents

Her normal attack, Rapid Fire, allows her to perform up to four consecutive shots with her bow, while with her charged attack, she can perform a more accurate aimed shot with increased DMG. While aiming, she will build up biting frost above her head, which will inflict Cryo DMG if fully charged before impact.

With her elemental skill, Frozen Wilds, Aloy will throw a Frozen Bomb that will explode on impact and split into numerous Chillwater Bombs. These bomblets will explode on contact with opponents or after a short delay, inflicting Cryo DMG.

Each time a bomb or bomblet explodes, it will reduce the opponent's attack and they will receive a stack of coils, which will increase Aloy's normal attack DMG up to four times. Once she gets four stacks, all of them will be consumed, causing Aloy to enter the rushed ice state, which further increases her normal attack DMG and converts it to cryo DMG.

With her Elemental Burst, Prophecies of Dawn, Aloy will launch a Cryo-filled powered cell in the targeted direction, then blast it with an arrow inflicting Cryo DMG 473ur from its area of effect.

Aloy - Best Weapons

Predator

Aloy's signature weapon, the Predator Bow. (Photo: miHoYo)

We have to open this list with his signature weapon, the Predator Bow. Specifically designed for Aloy, her Strong Strike skill increases its wielder's Normal and Charged Attack DMGs by 10% for six seconds, when inflicting Cryo DMGs on opponents up to a maximum of two Charges. Additionally, when equipped with Aloy, its ATK will be increased by 66.

While this all sounds like a really powerful weapon for her and even for Diona or Ganyu, this skill will only be effective for players on "PlayStation Network", so if you're playing on PC or mobile, you will not fully benefit from the power of this weapon.

The Predator Bow will be available for free via in-game messaging during versions 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3, exclusively for PS players.

Thunderous Pulse

Next, we'll find the Thundering Pulse, a 5-star weapon that's part of the Inazuma series, emitting fierce purple light that offers great stats and incredible offensive power, with eternal lightning that crackles throughout 473ur.

This bow comes with a special passive called Rule by Thunder, which increases ATK by 20/25/30/35/40% and grants Thunder Emblem Power. At stack levels 1/2/3, his Thunder Emblem will greatly increase normal attack DMG.

Its bearer will get a stack of Thunder Emblem in each of the following scenarios: normal attack inflicts DMG (stack lasts five seconds), casting elemental skills (stack lasts ten seconds); or Energy is less than 100% (the battery disappears when the energy is full), the duration of each battery being calculated independently.

Rust

Moving on to 4-star weapons, we'll find among the most recommended the Rust, an ancient bow as hard as cast iron, once owned by a famous archer who slew monsters and bandits like silver grass in the wind.

This famous bow has become a favorite of many archers in Genshin Impact due to its stats and lore. His Passive, Rapid Fire, increases normal attack DMG by 40/50/60/70/80%, allowing quick offensive strategies against hordes of enemies, however, it reduces charged attack DMG by 10%.

Wireless

To close this section, and if you're looking to use Aloy as a Burst DPS unit, we'd suggest The Stringless, a 4-star bow available through gacha that once served as an extraordinary instrument, though no longer capable of lifting people and dancing.

This exquisite weapon comes with a skill called Arrowless Song, which increases elemental skills and elemental burst DMG by 24/28/32/36/40%, allowing you to turn your surroundings into a huge minefield.

Aloy - Best Artifacts & Stats

Blizzard Errant

Artefacts de Blizzard Strayer. (Photo : miHoYo)

As a primary choice for its Artifacts, we'll recommend the Blizzard Strayer set, a series of Artifacts introduced when Dragonspine Mountain was added, as it will greatly increase the power of your elemental skills by giving you a 15% Cryo DMG bonus. with two pieces.

If you manage to get four pieces from this set, each time Aloy attacks an opponent affected by Cryo, her CRIT rate will be increased by 20%. If the opponent is frozen, their CRIT rate will be increased by an additional 20%.

Noblesse Obligate

In case you don't have all the pieces from the Blizzard Strayer set, you can also take the Noblesse Oblige set with you, for an extra 20% DMG Elemental Burst with two pieces.

To complete it, you can choose Gladiator's Finale or Shimenawa's Reminiscence Artifacts, to increase its ATK by 18%.

Artifact Stats

As for Artifact stats, they will be focused on increasing his critical strike chance and damage, as well as harnessing his elemental skills to make full use of them in the field:

Main statistics:

  • ATQ
  • Bonus Cryo DMG
  • CRIT

Substats:

  • COMPUTING%
  • CRIT DMG
  • CRIT rate
  • Energy Refill
  • Elemental Mastery

Recommended team composition and release date

Although a free character, Aloy will be a great option for players who lack a strong archer like Ganyu or Venti, or a good Cryo character like Eula or Kamisato Ayaka, as she can be used as both DPS or Sub-DPS Dealer.

So, to complement his playstyle, you can choose between the following characters depending on what suits you best for battle:

  • Kamisato Ayaka (Cryo),orGanyu (Cryo): Speaking of these two, they will both take advantage of Aloy's Cryo Affinity Elemental Resonance, while also being used as additional DPS dealers against all sorts of enemies.
  • Mona (Hydro), or Xingqiu (Hydro): With Aloy's Cryo skills at your fingertips, using one of these Hydro characters will allow you to control more dangerous packs due to their icy elemental reactions.
  • Finally, you'll want to add a Pyro character to hit all 473ur enemies with meltdown reactions. You can choose between dilute for a stronger offensive, Klee combine his explosive abilities with those of Aloy, or Bennett for some occasional heals and boosts.

And that's all we have to share about Aloy. Don't forget that it will be available for free for PlayStation users on September 1, and then for other players on October 13, via in-game messaging.
