Fortnite Winterfest 2021 will kick off on December 16 and run until January 6, giving players plenty of time to complete the limited-time challenges and redeem the accompanying rewards. While official details regarding Fortnite Winterfest 2021 remain scarce at the time of this writing, here's everything we know about it.
Fortnite Winterfest 2021 Breakdown
Notable content creators such as Tabor Hill received Christmas cards from Epic Games, referencing what to expect for this year's Winterfest. Along with revealing a concrete release date, he also mentioned that there would be challenges and "fresh and frosty items." Also, Sgt. Winters will return, driving a Christmas truck and presumably dropping those "icy cool items" for players.
While it's unclear at the time of this writing whether these "cool and frosty items" will be consumables or cosmetics, fans won't have to wait much longer to find out.
Fortnite Winterfest 2021 Challenges
At the time of writing, Epic Games has yet to officially unveil the list of challenges that will arrive with the seasonal event. However, if last year's Winterfest event is any indication, fans should expect challenges like "Dancing on Different Holiday Trees" and "Starting a Campfire." Like last year, completing these challenges should reward players with XP and cosmetics.
