Epic Games Fortnite servers are currently down

After many players struggled with connection and matchmaking issues for much of the day, a series of tweets were posted from the Fortnite Status account on Twitter. The messages stated that the title was currently unavailable and that more information would become available later.

While this is frustrating to report, rest assured this isn't an issue on your end, Epic Games' servers are just having issues. This is likely due to a significant spike in activity during the holiday period, when many are home and have a bit more time to play.

In the meantime, take a look at the next set of challenges from Chapter 3 Week 4, which will go live in-game shortly after the servers are back up and running.
