Fortnite has temporarily disabled the split-screen feature for console players

It looks like the feature has been temporarily disabled and many are wondering why. As such, Epic Games has provided some details on why split screen has been disabled on consoles.

Ever since Fortnite introduced Chapter 3 Season 1 this month, Fortnite players have noted the inability to use the split-screen feature. Some have speculated that Epic Games likely disabled the feature as a way to track its servers to allow more players access to the latest update.

According to the Fortnite Trello community forum, Epic Games has a card that lists "Splitscreen Disabled" as one of several issues highlighted under "Top General Issues". The Fortnite Support Team is currently "investigating" the issue as per the note on the map, but once the issue is resolved the team will notify players through the appropriate channels.
