Also, they will definitely change the meta again as some weapons go to the vault as well as some weapons that leave the vault. In this guide, we detail what players need to know about the Vault, which Epic Games weapons will be sent to the Vault, and which weapons return to Fortnite.
How does jumping work in Fortnite?
At the start of each season, Epic Games applies balance changes to several existing weapons by adjusting their unique characteristics such as rate of fire, hit points and more. As such, when introducing new weapons or bringing removed weapons back into the game, they replace some existing weapons which are then vaulted.
So, the developer has reintroduced a few vaulted weapons in Fortnite, which sees some existing weapons heading towards the vault. Those weapon players without a safe will have access, alongside new weapons for the season, to loot boxes found around the map.
Below, we've outlined all of the weapons heading to the Vault as well as weapons making a return to Fortnite and some new weapons. This is not the complete list of all vaulted and unvaulted weapons as there may be more to come.

New weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1
These are the new weapons that are being introduced to players in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 update according to a blog post.
Ranger assault rifle: Ideal for medium to long range combat, this Assault Rifle appears to be an upgrade to the Heavy Assault Rifle, possibly with higher recoil.
MK-Seven assault rifle: This assault rifle was created using The Seven's highly advanced technology, designed for medium to long range combat. There is a special version of this weapon, with a faster rate of fire, available to players if they wish to take down The Foundation.
Striker shotgun: For power and extreme damage, the Striker Pump Shotgun deals more damage using more rounds in a single burst.
473matic shotgun: For faster reloading and a high rate of fire, the 473matic shotgun is the weapon for you. Built for speed, this weapon should come in handy whether you choose to attack enemies while sliding or to shoot your enemy point-blank.
Stinger SMG: A weapon seen in several shooters, the Stinger SMG is finally making its way to Fortnite. Ideal for mid-range battles and intense firefights, this SMG can take down enemies and buildings without breaking a sweat.
Handgun pistolA weapon that can deal a massive amount of damage at close to medium range, the Sidearm Pistol is the best early game weapon for players to obtain from loot boxes. The bonus is that it deals high headshot damage to your enemies in close combat.
Hunter Bolt Action Sniper: If you prefer long distance shots, there is a new weapon in the game that will get you there in about three shots. Dealing high damage with three rounds per clip, this weapon will turn all enemies into a practice target.
As we mentioned above, this is not the complete list of vaulted and unvaulted weapons and as such we will provide updates once new information becomes available. Players will likely have to adjust to the new no-vault weapons available in Fortnite.
Decide which weapons would serve you best during matches and if they deserve to join the meta.
