Scheduled for May 25, Detroit Become Human has remained quite discreet but a lot of information has been revealed as announcements and video game shows: here is a summary!
Kara, the origin of the project

From a technical demo, Land defence is an android at the center of a 7mns video unveiled by Quantic Dreams in 2011: we could see the different stages of its creation as well as the idea "what will happen to this android endowed with emotions once it has taken its first step into the human world?" ".
Around this idea developed the city of Detroit and two questions arise for us: what makes us human and what can we feel being an android who discovers his own emotions and our world? Two themes that we saw at work in the film Ex Machina and the series Westworld.
Detroit: The Story of 3 Androids
“A dystopian version of the near future, Detroit tells the story of three androids who each begin to feel emotions. Faced with persecution and violence from society, they will have to decide who they want to be. »
Connor is a prototype created to aid human investigators of cases involving androids, Land defence becomes a fugitive by sympathizing with a little girl, united in their dream of freedom, and Markus will become the leader of the android revolution.

Each story is unique
Each of your actions has consequences and will impact the future of your characters: there are entire scenes that you will unlock or miss following your actions, your allies may go so far as to die to protect you or will prefer to flee at the slightest danger. Your entire destiny is in your hands, and the future of Connor, Kara and Markus depends on your actions. Be careful with your choices, because you may be responsible for death of one of these characters during the development of your story.

Recognized as a pioneer of "interactive drama", the French studio continues to bring its cinematic touch to video games with Detroit Become Human since the characters were animated via the motion capture, like Andy Serkis for Gollum or Caesar. For this, he was supported by the IKinema studio to be able to transcribe the animations and emotions of the characters as faithfully as possible.
This desire to be more and more realistic should destabilize more than one player when he has the lives of these three characters in his hands. Detroit : Are these androids more "human" than us? Reply on May 25 on PS4!
