The Call of Duty franchise is ramping up for a particularly busy time. Warzone is set to go to the Pacific with its integration into Call of Duty: Vanguard which is set to happen when that game releases November 5th.
And on the mobile front, the developers of Call of Duty: Mobile are gearing up to release Season 9.
Very little is known about what players can expect in COD: Mobile Season 9, leaks, usually from the Chinese version of the game, have been thin on the ground, however, there is some information on this what we can expect.
Season 9 may just not be as content-heavy as Season 8, with its new map and battle royale features and 2nd anniversary celebrations.
That being said, we're sure there's going to be plenty for players to do on launch day, and if you're curious what that might be, then you've come to the right place as we break down everything. we know about Season 9 of COD: Mobile.
COD: Mobile Season 9 – release date
Although Activision has yet to release an exact release date for COD Mobile Season 9, we expect it to release on October 20.
We know this because the season 8 battle pass end date is 19 and the next season, and the new battle pass, always started a day later.
We will update this section with more information as it becomes available.
What can we expect?
Well aside from the usual battle pass we know the game will be celebrating Halloween, this comes straight from the dev team who revealed on the official COD: Mobile Reddit that they were taking a break from publishing but confirmed that Halloween was a major factor in Season 9.
It's highly likely that COD: Mobile will get its own version of The Haunting event coming to Warzone, The Haunting starts October 20, the same date of the new season and the leaks have only added credence to that.
These leaks include the arrival of Zombies in the battle royale mode, this comes from the Chinese version of the game which usually takes place a few weeks before the global release.
There have also been a number of 473ur leaks of new Operator skins coming to the game.
These include Morte getting a Jigsaw (Billy) skin made famous by the movie Saw, as well as Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacres, both set to appear in Warzone's 'The Haunting' event, hence their inclusion in COD : Mobile, probably running its own The Haunting event, is very likely.
tNew Weapons in COD: Mobile Season 9
There are usually two weapons introduced to the game's arsenal with a new season, last season for example saw the introduction of the M13 Assault Rifle and the R90 Shotgun - the two weapons of 2019 Modern Warfare – and just the latest in a series of weapons added from this title.
Could we get more MW weapons? May be.
Leaks have suggested that the Swordfish, a 4-round bullpup from Black Ops 4, will be added alongside the M79 "Thumper", a grenade launcher seen in MW 1 and 2.
Nothing is official yet, so take it with a pinch of salt.
